Pakistan dazzle for the first time in the New Year parade London

This year a group of Pakistani artists for the very first time participated in the traditional parade for New Year celebration. It was held in London the British capital. There were 8,500 performers from 20 different countries. It was a rainy weather but thousands of people came to the streets to watch the parade. The High Commissioner Syed Ibne Abbas has given invitation to the UK’s Pakistani community to participate in the parade. The main aim was to show the variety of different cultures of Pakistan. Syed Ibne Abbas has taken a bold step, it was indeed a proud moment to see the positive image of Pakistan getting a lot of appreciation all the credit goes to the high commissioner. Syed Ibne Abbas, along with his spouse, were taken to the VIP enclosure in a special carriage at the start of the Parade. The Pakistan High Commission London has planned a series of cultural events to celebrate the 70th Independence Anniversary of Pakistan and participation in the LNYDP has kick started the celebrations that would continue throughout the year 2017. Adnan Ansari the creative director, producer and founder of Riwayat also took part in the parade. Adnan does all the preparations of this successful parade because he expertly emphasize on creative ideas, development, planning and budgeting. Adnan is an award winning production designer. For the past four years Riwayat Ltd has created waves globally through its Pakistan Fashion Week London shows. PFW London showcases both established and up and coming designers. The Segments of parade includes performance of horse dance, drum beating, regional music, colorful dresses, Kalash dance and Qawwali performance. The participants received a huge appreciation from the crowd; Pakistani has won the loudest praise throughout on the parade route. Pakistani mementoes were also distributed to the viewers along the way that applauded the atmosphere of the Parade. Speaking to this scribe, Syed Ibne Abbas said: “We decided to take part in the London New Year’s Day Parade (LNYDP) to showcase Pakistan’s actual vibrant image to over half a million people who turned out to watch the parade. This was a historic opportunity for us to present Pakistan in a positive light.   He was also hopeful that this participation will increase the tourism to Pakistan as “it was clear that people from all over the world liked the Pakistani contingent and admired the colors of Pakistan.” Successful participation in the Parade has set the tone for the next year's events.
