Omar Mansoor’s Fashion Sustainability at LFW SS20
Modern fashion era grows with more unfolding trends in the fashion weeks. Recently, a well-known British-Pakistani designer Omar Mansoor showcased his collection at London Fashion Week and the internet is astonished with the concept behind his apparel, and the impact it gives out to the world. Omar Mansoor is certified from London College of Fashion.
By showcasing his collection at LFW SS20, not does Omar only made an International recognition but also made his country feel proud of having such amazing and thoughtful designers. Omar Mansoor inaugurated the 15th presence in the London Fashion week. Omar’s collection is a proof of legitimacy of his work.
Considering his majors, Omar has always been fond of sustainability and encouragement. His collection at London Fashion week was entitled as “Fashion pact.” His collection was all about positive fashion and to produce within sustainable resources which can be used for longer time span.
Omar’s latest collection at LFW SS20 is rich with elegance and grace. He revealed about the colors to be Blue and Green because,
“The collection was all about sustainability in fashion. Green represents tree and forests and blue represents sea, and pollution caused by fashion. He added, fashion is the biggest contributor in landfills. People dispose off the clothes specially the fast fashion which is produced unethically and used unethically and have not disposed off properly/recycled. His point was to introduce ethical fashion with sustainable resources, sustainable fabric and to use it for long rather than disposing it.”
In addition to this, his collection was the amalgamation of eastern and western looks. Omar mentioned that the designing element was inspired from Pakistan’s embroidery. Pakistani fashion has its own charm to be showcased which was supported by models too. They claimed Pakistani dresses are not only beautiful but comfortable too.
Time when pollution is the most common problem around the globe, Omar took the pledge to withstand all the odds and play his role as global citizen. His collection is not only praised for the cause but for the intricate design and silhouettes in his collection.
Omar’s collection is the elegant solution to meet women’s fashion favours. His collections are mostly based on the range of fabrics including chiffon, Georgette, Silk and lace to which details are added with embellishments.
Upon inquiring from Models they claimed: “ Omar’s dresses are beautiful and it was so much fun modeling for him.”
“I loved the design, beautifully dropped dresses, colors and mostly the finish was everything.”
