Pakistan Fashion Week London began with a rocking ramp on the 25th of November, 2017 at Hilton Park Lane, London. All the ongoing preparations were paid-off magnificently when the gorgeous models set the ramp on fire wearing extravagant masterpieces of the talented participating designers. With strong planning and hardworking team, the complete show is presented by Riwayat, a fashion organization headed by talented Adnan Ansari and Chris East. They are always working hard to promote Pakistani Fashion and culture in the various parts of the world. Let’s see what all happened in this amazing fashion week and how designers showcased their collections on Day 1.
Maheen Khan
Day 1 started with an extraordinary collection of Pakistan’s top designer Maheen Khan. Maheen’s collection is more inclined towards the casual and semi-formal wear, and her main focus is to see women in the most comfortable clothing. Each piece in her clothing line speaks about color therapy and intense comfort. Her work is adored both in Pakistan and internationally, and people love to grab her work as soon as it’s out on the market.
Saira Shakira
After Maheen Khan, Saira Shakira came with their amazing and to-die-for collection. Both are well-known for their elaborative and detailed work. The collection which was showcased had more of a bridal aesthetic. The models beautifully displayed their phenomenal dresses incorporated with fine bridal jewelry. Every piece was unique and was loved by the distinguished audience.
Moazzam Abbassi
Going a bit against the tempo of the fashion show, Moazzam Abbassi worked hard for many months and brought a collection that was heaven for eyes. An all-white collection with light and floral embroidery is what Moazzam wanted to showcase. The collection looked casual yet trendy considering the element of comfort. Moazzam who is known for his variant work can definitely show some serious magic using a piece of ordinary cloth.
Hamna Amir
After some heartwarming clothing collections from some of the top Pakistani designers then came the much-awaited jewelry collection by Hamna Amir which was the star of the night. The jewelry displayed by the models was from Hamna’s formal and bridal collection that had a more traditional feel. Hamna who has been into the jewelry business for a quite a long time knows how to impress her audience.
Aisha Imran
Aisha Imran’s collection was more of fusion couture, and all the models were looking enchanting. Her collection speaks the great quality of material that makes the overall compilation spell-biding. Each piece which she brought to the PFW12 was unique and had a symbolic message. She knows how to mix and match and enhance the beauty of her well-designed masterpieces.
Rija Shargeel
After the commercial break, Rija Shargeel showcased her collection. She is one of the star designers who is well-known for her ethnic and traditional dresses. The collection which she worked on had a Persian touch with intense embellishment and detailed hand-woven work. The bridals and formals were vibrant in color, and the texture of the fabric seemed fresh and comfortable. Her collection is indeed best for a fairytale wedding and can be one of the very first choices.
Komal Nasir
Komal Nasir is one of the potential designers in the current decade who have been known for her intricate shawls, scarves, and capes. Her collection gave the intense feeling of royalty, as each piece which the models displayed was full of life and had that heavily embroidered feeling. Her designs are extremely feminine with delight to change anything from ordinary to extraordinary.
Haris Shakeel
After such an intricate work from some of the best designers of Pakistan, came in the jaw-dropping collection by Haris Shakeel. His bridal and formal collection this time is outstanding, and each pair depicts the ethnicity of Pakistani fashion. Haris is a hardworking designer who has been in the field of fashion designer for quite a long time now. His variant experience and detailed designs make the apparels soft on eyes and gentle to wear. Models are looking extravagant wearing his latest collection and so making the whole audience extremely impressive.
Rani Emaan
The final collection of the day was from Rani Emaan, a designer who knows well to add details and life to something you wish to wear. Rani’s collection this time is focused more on pastels, and the embroidery is loaded with semi-precious stones and Swarovski crystals. The whole collection seems soft and supple winning the hearts of the complete crowd.
Day 1 ended with loads of appreciation and applauds from the audience where they all were mesmerized by the exceptional collection of all the designers.
