Mohammad Ali was born and raised in Hyderabad, Pakistan. He was inclined towards drawing and painting since childhood, as his mother quoted somewhere, “Mohammad Ali began scribbling on floor/paper or anything with a piece of chalk or charcoal when he was a toddler.” That means he grew up with paint and a brush in his hands. He was fond of colors, magazines, and anything artistic would attract him. Mohammad Ali earned an MFA degree in painting from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, and a Ph.D. In Interdisciplinary Arts from Ohio University.
He gave his services as a lecturer in University of Sindh, Pakistan in 1978 and took retirement as a Professor and Director of the Institute of Art and Design, Jamshoro in 2011.
