Sanjay Leela Bhansali's music album 'Sukoon' is all set to top the music chart
After the film industry, the most celebrated film director Sanjay Leela Bhansali is all set to conquer the music world with his first original music album titled ‘Sukoon’. The album features 9 original compositions and the album brings back the memories of the good old lovely ballads making it relevant for today’s youth. Talented singers like Rashid Khan, Shreya Ghoshal, Arman Malik, Sahil Hada, Papon, Pratibha Baghel and Madhubanti Bagchi have come together and curated this album.
Bhansali has been at the forefront of creating impactful music for his films and has introduced some of the most talented and popular singers of Indian music such as Shreya Ghoshal and Arijit Singh. Sanjay Leela Bhansali has previously created music for his films Guzaarish, Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela, Bajirao Mastani, Padmaavat, and Gangubai Kathiawadi. He was conferred with the coveted Indian National Award under the category ‘Best Music Director’ for the soundtrack of Padmaavat.
Speaking about the song ‘Ghalib Hona Hai’ from the album, singer Arman Malik said, “I am really excited about ‘Ghalib Hona Hai’ because it’s truly an honour to sing a composition by Sanjay Leela Bhansali sir. I have dreamt of working on collaboration with him for a very long time and finally the world will get to experience this audio-visual treat!”
The ‘Tujhe Bhi Chaand’ and ‘Qaraar’ singer, Shreya Ghoshal said, “I have been working with Sanjay Leela Bhansali sir since I was 16 and I cannot be more grateful towards him for always believing in me. ‘Sukoon’ is yet another masterpiece by him that will change the take on Ghazals in this Modern Era.
It took the maestro almost two years to curate the songs and complete his album, which he presents as an ode to the Queen of Melody, Lata Mangeshkar. After listening to the songs, we can rightly say that each melody of ‘Sakoon’ is special yet unique in its own way. The album is now live on all leading streaming apps.
