Presenting Loreal Paris Bridal Week Day 2, this year at PLBW19, PFDC is showcasing a mix of established and young designers within an enlarged scope of the bridal platform. They Day 2 show was based on two distinct sets of segments to be followed by scheduled designers: Early Evening and Evening show. Day 2 brought so many more contemporary fashion designers to our sight with many more fusions of hairstyles and accessories trends.
PFDC presented a set of collections in the evening segment from a diversity of mainstream luxury bridal ateliers to some light weight attires. Our new boundary-pushing designers are bringing a different perspective to bridal week by not only focusing on the couture but the hairstyles and makeup fashion as well. Designers try to showcase the best of their best but then very few match the taste of audience.
Day 2 showcasing by designers was really tempting. To list down the names for day 2 we have with early evening grouped bridal showcases featuring Saira Rizwan, Ahmad Sultan, J&H Studio, Tayab Moazzam Studio and Asma Aslam. This was followed by evening bridal showcases featuring a grouped bridal showcase comprising of The House of Kamiar Rokni and Misha Lakhani and a finale grouped bridal showcase featuring Sania Maskatiya, Sonia Azhar and MAHGUL, but unexpectedly only 4 of them made it to our hottest line this year. Continue to read this to know who made it to top 4.
AHMAD SULTAN
Ahmed Sultan showcased his bridal collection titled “La Vie en Rose”, which directly translates to Life in Pink. He bought French accents to his Asian receptivity. He proved that fashion is not just limited to hues and silhouettes but cuts add more attraction to the dress. From minute embellishments to the silk and organza patches this man went so extra and yet pulled it off! His collection besets a timeless charisma by pairing the traditions of the past with trends of the modern day in a novel way. The models were adorned with glasses which had Ahmad’s name initial alphabets
THAT’S HIS SIGNATURE TO ADD THE INITAIL ALPHABET OF HIS NAME WHILE SHOWCASING HIS COLLECTION
He kept his signature style functioning and one must say very aesthetically! His collection featured magnificent details and iridescent hues with floral patterns being the extensive focus. We loved his collection because of its luxe feels because of the soft pastel hues. Ahmad Sultan chose Sara Ali Khan to showcase as a celebrity showstopper. The dress was no less than Cindrella’s dress and we are drooling over it! Sara Ali khan had her fairytale moment on the ramp and her smile is the true depiction of her joy.
THE HOUSE OF KAMIAN ROKNI
Day-2 of PFDC L’Oréal Paris Bridal Week 2019 evening grouped bridal showcase was opened by The House of Kamiar Rokni with his bridal collection titled as, “Golestān”.
“Golestān”, the Garden of Roses, represents poetry of ideas. Kamiar rokni truly had the feminity magic over the ramp with his collection.
The balance of shape, silhouettes and hues is very much near to perfection. The cuts may drop from intensive to edgy very often. “Golestān” also takes its title and creative interpretation from Persian poet Sa’adi’s magnum opus, presenting a collection as a confluence of many ideas but ultimately proposing a celebration of one’s individuality; one where no two flowers are alike in the House of Kamiar Rokni’s Garden of Roses.
Drawing from Kamiar Rokni’s Persian heritage, “Golestān” explored the influence of Iran in Sub Continental design, playing with the diversity within femininity, from the modern to the classic, from softer to bolder expressions, from classical lehngas to edgy gowns. Indeed, Rokni envisions modern couture as layered and multi-faceted, embracing different aspects of our nature.
His collection is nothing but a bunch of uniqueness. He has used very standard hues pallet for his collection. The ties that bind fashion, art, culture and imagination make up the very fabric of The House of Kamiar Rokni and needless to say his collection was impressive to be true!
SANIA MASKATIYA
Multi-award winning fashion house Sania Maskatiya showcased their F/W 19/20 bridal collection titled “DILARA” on day two of PFDC L’Oréal Paris Bridal Week 2019. Styled by Sarah Tabani, the showcase was complimented by jewelry from Allure by MHT and shoes from Charles & Keith. The main reason behind her collection is that it is the combination between ‘dil’ (heart) and ‘ara’ (what decorates beauty), two core elements of fashion, “DILARA” dresses both bride and groom in a dazzling array of color. Sensual and sensitive collection loved by everyone. The collection was alluring and said a lot about the graceful craftsmanship. The draped style was presiding in a beautiful selected color pallet. Her bridal collection is suitable for engagements, mehndi functions too due to the blend of bright colors. The lehngas, designed for most important events of life transmit poetry and a love story. The collection featured heavily embellished luxury fabrics in silhouettes that meets Subcontinent’s Golden Age; blending a mild modernity to the allure of the Orient. The collection will be available for preview and order in Lahore on 28thSeptember 2019 and in Karachi on 30thSeptember 2019 at the flagship outlets.
