Another fashion week just hit our timelines last week and we are not getting over it anytime soon. Fashion Pakistan Council arranged a fashion week in Karachi with the collaboration of Alkaram studio. The fashion week officially started on October 23rd at Beach Luxury Hotel, Karachi. The three-day fashion affair highlighted some of Pakistan’s most cutting edge designers who showcased their formal, semi-formal and bridal collections which featured the latest trends for A/W19 season.
The pre-event ceremony held at Coté Rotié on the 22nd was basically first look into the collection by Alkaram studio ‘La Vie En Rose’ with hues of pink, blushes and corals with an eye catching interior. Guests were designers who had to showcase at #FPWF19, as well as FPC members, socialites along with some famous people from industry. The event was also in collaboration with Pink Ribbon Pakistan for Pinktober i.e Breast Cancer awareness amongst people and early age examination.
Too shimmery for a casual event but too good for your not so casual- formal gathering or skip this, get it for your big day! The twisted complex detailing on Grey jumpsuit was a jaw drop moment for all of us! Fauzia Aman being her selflessly gorgeous self, made it on the ramp as a showstopper!
If I say she brings the best out of anything would be enough justice to her collection at PFW19. Her collection was based on few rust tones and in the shades of grey. The cuts on the shimmery jumpsuits, belts around the waist in a very flowy dress and yet models slayed the vivacious look.
Gogi By Hassan Riaz:
Considering the very challenging name for his collection which is, Lost In My French Garden, Gogi didn’t fail to cater the anxious audience with his amazingly captivating collection. His bright color hues which as per the name were inspired by French silhouettes and the way he added embellishments while bending towards western has us in awe.
Buoyant sleeves, high neckline and thread work featured an array of cuts and colors perfect for the modern woman. Gogi’s latest collection channeled grace and old style cuts over bright colors with sequins and color blocking being a new in this season.
Nimra khan as a showstopper appeared with a cane in hand in a ruffled sleeves shirt, flappered trouser and a French hat.
SHE WAS KILLIN’ IT!
Yasmin Zaman:
Yasmin Zaman presented ‘Tirana’ which interprets Albanian kilts and vests through the deep colors and rich fabrics of Pakistani formal wear. She stated, “Tirana in Albanian means stability and strength. The color palette used is ideal for the winter season. They took keen interest in the overlapping and merging of different clothing trends and Albanian boasts a regionally focused and diverse culture of apparel often using cloth from a loom. The embellishments focus on flat braid work and emphasize on Gold and geometrical designs”.
Her collection was in collaboration with Soma Intl. for shoes and accessorized by Haya Luftullah.
