9th October 2017, Moscow: The bond of friendship between Pakistan and Russia strengthens as Pakistan’s 70th Independence anniversary celebrations were held at the Ritz Carlton in Russia’s capital city Moscow. It was for the first time in Russian-Pakistani history that a fashion and cultural event of such measure was held.
The event was hosted by Ambassador of Pakistan in Russia, H.E. Qazi Khalilullah, and attended by Russian elite, high-level government officials, diplomats and dignitaries from several other countries. The highlight of the event was the soft image of Pakistan which was projected through the top notch Fashion Show in which eminent designers from both countries participated. The audience was truly delighted with Pakistan’s cultural diversity and the audiovisual presentations of scenic Pakistan, which are not usually highlighted in the mainstream media.
Mutual trust, commonality of interests and convergence of views on important regional and international issues characterize Pakistan-Russia relations. The two countries are collaborating in the fields of energy, trade, industry, defence, education and culture.
While speaking to honorable guests, Ambassador of Pakistan in Russian H.E. Qazi Khalilullah said, “After 70 years, Pakistan is confident about its ability to defend against any aggression and now is in the list of fast growing economies of the world. Quaid-e-Azam’s vision of Pakistan’s Foreign Policy provided the basis for our relation with other countries. On this 70th Anniversary we wish that both the countries go further with bilateral policies in every field which will be beneficial for both the countries”
