Last we interviewed you were just a model? How you became a fashion journalist?
I can’t model forever. So it seemed like a natural progression to combine my passion for languages and writing with my career within fashion. During my career as a model, I made a lot of contacts with publications throughout the world. I was asked if I could write an article for one magazine. It got noticed and was well received. Other publications contacted me to contribute articles and now I am a featured fashion and lifestyle journalist for several leading international publications.
Modelling is just about beauty and showcasing a product while lifestyle journalism is more about intellect and skills of writing, do you think it's possible to be in 1 person?
Why can’t someone who looks good also be intelligent? Of course it is possible. I can thank my parents for giving me the genes that have given me a look that is appealing to many and intelligence so that I am not dependent only on my looks for my career. Furthermore, to be able to have a long career as a model, one really needs to have some intellect as you got to be able to make connections, establish a strong contact network and know how not to be taken advantage of.
You shoot fairy tale stuff so as your body is, what do you do to have such toned up body?
I exercise regularly and I also watch my diet carefully.
Share your exercise and diet regime?
I try to go to the gym or exercise at home at least 3 times per week. But exercise alone is not sufficient. I avoid eating sugary and fatty foods.
Do you believe in cosmetic treatments, if yes, which one's you had?
It is an individual choice. I am too scared of surgery to have any cosmetic surgery. You could always follow me on my social media for tips on how to look younger without going under the knife like my exercise routines, diet, make-up and what fashion to wear.
HOW HAS LONDON FASHION WEEK BEEN?
London Fashion Week is an amazing event where everyone involved within fashion in the UK as well as from the rest of the world congregate. It enables you to see all the latest fashion trends, meet the designers and buyers, as well as strengthening one’s contact network. I find LFW full of energy and a bit more edgy than Paris.
HOW HAS INSTAGRAM HELPED YOU?
Instagram is today one of the most popular social mediums. Instagram has allowed me to communicate with my fans instantaneously and in an easy to view format. The likes and comments provide me with critical information what is popular and what is not. Because of its popularity and ease to reach new followers, it is becoming ever more popular medium for marketers and brands. It enables brands to succinctly promote their products/brands to a specific target group like beauty, fashion and lifestyle that my IG page is primarily focused on.
