THE LEGEND OF MAULA JATT GARNERED APPLAUSE FOR ALL THE RIGHT REASONS
The much-awaited Pakistani film 'Legend of Maula Jatt' has become the highest-grossing Punjabi film of all time. The project has been in the making for so long but after watching it, we can say that it was worth the wait.
Despite the delay, the excitement for the movie hasn't dissipated and now it has entered in 150 Crore club (combined Pakistani and international box office collection.) The film has a star-studded cast including heartthrob Fawad Khan as the main lead, ‘Maula Jatt’, stunning Mahira Khan as his love interest” Mukho’, sensuous Humaima Malick as ‘Daro’ and enchanting Hamza Ali Abbasi as ‘Noori Natt’.
As the story unfolds, the distinct aesthetic of the movie grips the audience with its exceptional and strong plot. Here, words fall short of each character’s exceptional performance, especially the Natt siblings. The casting, the dialogues, the setup, the knitting of the scenes, the VFX, the stunt coordination, and the direction speaks volumes about why the movie deserves all the accolades it’s getting.
Each shot was a visual treat, and even the transitions left us flabbergasted. Furthermore, the dialogues were poetic without being composed of poetry — each aspect was well thought out and brimming with meaning. The film was entertaining, and every adult should watch it. However, the movie is not recommended for children, as some scenes are very violent and gruesome.
No doubt it is one of the biggest films in the Pakistan film industry setting a new benchmark and proving that if we put our hearts into filmmaking, we can do wonders. Team Pakistan In Vogue is giving 4/5 solid stars to this masterpiece.
